JavaScript is a universal programming language that is used to add interactive features to web sites. If you've ever come across animations, pictures that change when you mouse over them, and even things like validating form data and online calculators, you have utilized JavaScript. However, despite its interactivity and versatility, JavaScript is still vulnerable to errors.

Javascript error usually appears with a yellow triangle in pop up box and tells you to debug. A problem with JavaScript embedded in the web page usually causes this. This kind of error may also appear in programs associated with them. Dreamweaver relies heavily on JavaScript making it vulnerable to JavaScript errors. These two are the most common.

So, how to fix the JavaScript error?

1. Enable Java in Internet Explorer

Click Start -> Control Panel -> Internet Connections -> Tools -> Internet Options -> click the Advanced tab, scroll down to the Java heading, and put a check in the box next to Java. Next, Click the Security tab and Custom Level at the bottom. Choose Scripting of Java applets, Click Enable and OK.

2. Update your JavaScript

Go to the Java download page at java.com/en/download and if you see a message telling you that you don't have the recommended version of Java installed, download the new version from the page and install it on your PC.

3. Clean your computer's registry

The computer registry is similar to a library that stores files to run programs like Outlook. Over time, as software and files are installed and removed, and everyday programs opened more frequently than others, your registry ends up disorganized with files scattered everywhere. Clean your registry to make sure your file system is up to date and easy for your computer to access.
